An actual play podcast in the world of Dungeons and Dragons
Ten years after a band of adventurers became heroes, the Justyce Loving Friends are living lives of contentment in the market town of Lower Coastberg. When a new threat arises that cannot be ignored, our heroes must dust off their helms, sharpen their battleaxes and squeeze into their armour for one last quest.

Quest Fantastic are (left to right): Nell Heald as Morric, Sara Keep as GM, Paul Salt as Bleurgh!, Paul Goodman as Jump Fundenden and Jen Blundell as Margaret Battlehammer.
Paul Goodman @goodmanthe2nd
Paul Goodman plays Jump Fundenden, a high-energy aasimar devoted to the teachings of Tyr, God of Justice, who has retired from adventuring to teach General Studies to the good kids of Lower Coastburg. He can sniff out evil from a hundred paces and stab it out from two. He is the lead and rhythm lutist in the ye olde prog folk band The Justyce Loving Friends.
Paul edits and scores Quest Fantastic & the Cyberpunk: Tales from the Oasis podcast, appears on the One Good Thing podcast with fellow Justyce Loving Friend Paul Salt, and produces psytrance under the name run//phase.
Jen Blundell @JenBlundell
Jen plays Margaret Battlehammer, a dwarven sorcerer, stone-worker and full-time mum (what’s up, mums). Her long-suffering wife Joan is very supportive of Margaret playing drums in The Justyce Loving Friends, even when band practice takes up their entire garage.
Jen writes up the transcripts for the podcast and appears on other podcasts, as if she were permitted. She is a player on the queer actual play podcast Roll Plus Heart along with Sara Keep, and co-hosts Jen and the Film Critic with Paul Salt. She wrote all these bios. She’s very sorry. But then Goodman took those bios and changed them in subtle ways for this lovely new website, and he’s rarely sorry, if ever.
Nell Heald @NellHeald
Nell plays Metsa-Isa, the kindly shroom-chomping firbolg known to most non-forest-dwellers as Morric. Morric’s hobbies include playing the panpipes in The Justyce Loving Friends, providing mutual aid to his local community and unknowingly inciting violence against corrupt officials. Morric can talk to rocks, you know.
Nell is the most savage joke assassin around. And probably the nicest person.
Paul Salt @SaltyFilm
Paul Salt plays Bleurgh!, a noble grung warrior of the clan Wibudser. In his retirement he can often be found sitting nobly in the fountains and ponds of Lower Coastburg, nobly composing haikus, all of which are good and noble. He is the noble lead singer in the ye olde prog folk band The Justyce Loving Friends. Nobly, his poisonous skin will kill you if touched, ignobly or not.
Oh boy, take it from me, this Paul is great. He co-hosts the podcast One Good Thing with Goodman, bringing a much-needed dose of positivity to film criticism and also their friendship. Not only does he review movies at Screen Mayhem but he is the eponymous critic on the Jen and the Film Critic podcast, hosted by the rapt, attentive and incredibly existent Jen Blundell, so he’s doing well, thanks for asking.
Paul’s motto is “fuck being a renaissance man, and fuck Paul Goodman, I’m going to learn everything there is to know about film,” and he can be heard screaming this from his bath most Sundays.
Sara Keep @PenguinPanic
Sara is the wildly-awesome GM, voice and brain behind the world of Quest Fantastic and all the weird small dudes that feature within. When not GMing she can be found also GMing on the queer actual play podcast Roll Plus Heart. When she’s not GMing there either, she makes amazing art – including everything you’ve seen here! You can and should follow her on Twitter. Don’t make people talk about you. Do it.
